Today is #WorldKindnessDay.
Make sure you take some time to be kind to yourself as well as others. Being kind not only improves your mental health and well-being, but it helps to improve others too!
Here are a few things (out of many) on how you could be kind, today:
Hold the door open
The essence of politeness. This act is an easy way to make someone feel respected.
Pay for someone’s coffee
we all need a little pick-me-up from time to time, so why not got the extra mile and buy someone a cup of kindness.
Acknowledge a homeless person
Often a homeless person just wants to be treated respectfully and not ignored. Acknowledge their existence, engage them in conversation. Even a simple smile will go a long way!
You know that saying ‘smile and the world smiles with you’…well, it’s true – smiling really is infectious and is one of the quickest ways to light up someone else. Try it!
Let someone cut you in line
Ok, this seems like an outrageous thing to do, but because of that, its an extremely powerful way to show your kindness. Imagine if someone let you jump to the front of the line.
